We believe animal-assisted therapies have many benefits for participants in all stages of life, and we encourage participants of all ages with an affinity for animals or love of dogs to engage in dog-assisted sessions to address therapeutic goals.
You will arrive to your appointment in the scenic surroundings of our Birkdale office – once you are taken in to the consult you will be greeted by your psychologist and our registered Therapy Dog, Ellie the labradoodle.
Ellie is our lovely, cheeky girl who has lots of love to give (and lots of pats to receive!). Once you are comfortably settled in your session she will come and say hello, then sit quietly by your side or lie at your feet as your session progresses.
Depending on the direction of your session, you and your psychologist may decide to continue discussions as you take Ellie for a short stroll around the natural and relaxed environment of our scenic grounds.
Ellie is our registered therapy labradoodle. She is a young and cheeky girl, and has lots of love to give! She adds a spark of fun and is very calming for clients she works with, and loves a good cuddle.
