Our clinic rooms at Birkdale provide a welcoming environment so that you can work with our caring team and overcome the issues that are holding you back. Our Psychologists and support workers have a broad range of experience and interests, and are supported by our amazing administration team.

We will endeavour to the best of our ability to get you in to see one of our psychologists within 3 to 4 weeks of phoning in to make an appointment. Our staff follow strict confidentiality guidelines to ensure your privacy is guaranteed.

In Clinic Consults

At our rooms in Birkdale we will meet you for your first session and listen and understand the issues you are wanting help with as well as the main reasons for seeking this support. Your psychologist will discuss elements of yours or your child’s history that may be important in understanding the current problem. At the end of this first session you and your psychologist will have discussed and agreed the goals of therapy, an approach to take and the details of how to proceed such as the frequency of sessions.

Remote or ‘Zoom’ appointments

Our staff regularly see clients all over Australia use high quality video conference technology. This helps us to be able to see you wherever you are and saves on travel time. Your psychologist or coach simply sends you a link to the secure Zoom video meeting on the morning of your appointment. All you have to do is to click on the link to join the meeting. Many of our clients are choosing this option as it is convenient, secure and works very well. Mention this to our admin team when making an appointment.

Equine Therapy

We believe animal-assisted therapies have many benefits for participants in all stages of life, and we encourage participants from 6+ to engage in Equine Therapy as a social and capacity building activity.

Assessment & Diagnosis

Individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are often creative bold and are able to focus on something for long periods of time when it is of personal interest. When something isn’t of personal interest or the individuals with ADHD looses interest that is when their attention often wanders.
